Fixing stuff around myself
I recently came across the other meaning of Leadership. So, Leadership is about taking responsibility, ownership and initiative. When I thought about my daily activities, I found out that I always try to keep things on their place and fix the messy stuff so I am already practicing leadership qualities :p
When I was doing this task of fixing the stuff, I was in my drawing room. I looked around and found that the things were not placed in order on the table as we use the drawing room to offer prayer so there were prayer mats placed on the table and the sofa cover was also messed up. So, I decided to fix them.
I placed prayer mats on their place, cleaned the table and put the sofa cover in order. Here is the picture of my drawing room after keeping prayer mats on their place.
Now talking about how I felt after cleaning the stuff, so honestly I was so spent after a busy day that I never thought of cleaning the stuff at this hour but as I did it, I felt happy and satisfied that all one need is taking up the responsibility to bring some change whether in our own life, our surroundings or in someone else life.
As I am a person who cannot tolerate untidiness but sometimes I let it go because this is not only my job to fix the stuff so I would have done this task of fixing stuff even if had not been assigned to me but obviously not at 2:00 am :p
This activity relates to the concept of leadership without authority as I was not assigned to do this job but still I took the responsibility of cleaning the stuff.
